Sink Or Swim?

Underwater photography has always had a huge draw to me. I love how simple things can appear abstract and eerie, having seen such beautiful underwater photography me and my flatmate Tatiana decided to give it a go.

The word disastrous comes to mind. 

Not having an underwater camera we came to the conclusion that we would take photos of me under the water with the camera being above me. I can only say that the choking that occurred during and afterwards was a sight for sore eyes but none the less I tried hopelessly to look calm while my nose filled with water. After about an hour of trying different things we finally accepted defeat, though it was fun to do I don't think I will be posing for any other underwater photographs and I now have a new found respect and awe for models who have to do photo shoots underwater. My only question is how the do it without choking to death and getting bright red in the face...

This the only photo out of about 200 hundred in which I don't appear to be drowning or am having some sort of seizure...
